Job summary

Arm in Manchester is seeking a Project/Program Manager within Strategy & Ecosystems to lead the delivery of complex software and engineering initiatives that support developers on Arm.

You will coordinate planning and execution across business, product, and technical teams, drive alignment, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure delivery quality with agile or iterative methods in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex software or technology projects, preferably with Agile methods.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication to influence and collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to grasp technical discussions and assess project risks and dependencies.
• Experience coordinating across distributed teams and driving delivery improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, tracking, monitoring, and reporting for complex projects and programs.
• Build realistic plans and maintain visibility of delivery progress and confidence.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, issues, and change through to resolution.
• Bring teams together to resolve delivery challenges and recover off-track projects.
• Ensure oversight and alignment with Arm processes and ISO requirements.
• Coordinate delivery across Engineering, Product, Business, Marketing, Legal and others.
• Provide clear communication across teams and senior management.
• Support roadmap creation and ongoing refinement of PM procedures and automation.
• Contribute to process improvements and integration of automation in delivery.

Job Overview:

Become a Project / Program Manager in Arm's Strategy & Ecosystems group, leading the delivery of complex software and engineering projects and programs that support software developers on Arm. This role offers a great chance to work with business, product, and technical teams across Arm. You will guide planning and execution, unite teams to tackle complex delivery issues, and foster transparency, alignment, and coordination for optimal delivery.

Responsibilities:

You will:

• Lead planning, implementation, tracking, monitoring, and reporting for complex projects and programs.
• Work with teams to build realistic plans and maintain clear visibility of delivery progress and confidence.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, issues, and change through to conclusion.
• Bring teams and collaborators together to resolve complex delivery challenges and help recover delivery when projects or programs move off track.
• Ensure effective project and program oversight, audit preparedness, and alignment with applicable Arm processes and ISO requirements.
• Facilitate decisions and coordinate delivery across Engineering, Product Management, Business, Marketing, Legal, and other teams.
• Provide clear communication and alignment across teams, collaborators, and senior management.
• Support extended planning and roadmap creation for complex projects and programs.
• Assist us in ongoing refinement of our project and program management procedures, techniques, and integration of automation.

Necessary Skills and Experience:

• Experience managing complex software, engineering, or technology projects and programs, preferably using Agile or iterative development methods.
• Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with engineering teams, peers, senior management, and Arm partners.
• Ability to grasp technical discussions and assess their influence on project and program plans, risks, and dependencies.
• Ability to manage complex cross-team dependencies and drive issues through to resolution.
• A positive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to take on new challenges in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Familiarity with Software Development and Product Lifecycles.
• Experience with project and program oversight, audit, or compliance activities.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable project and program management platforms.
• Exposure to Open Source Software.
• Experience with AI and automation tools applied to aid project and program delivery.
