Job summary

Arm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Manager to lead teams developing System IP (Interconnect, memory management, DMA) and address market needs. You will work with the Product Manager, Technical Lead and engineers to drive concepts from conception to delivery, ensuring quality and on-spec results.

The role requires strong planning, scheduling, resource and budget management, risk handling and clear communication across engineering groups.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microelectronics and/or Software development flows and IP integration.
  • Experience in Software or Semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with development lifecycles (waterfall, iterative).
  • Ability to build plans from high level to detailed schedules.
  • Ability to generate metrics for tracking and manage uncertainty.
  • Strong communication with engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • High attention to detail and professionalism.

Job Overview

The project manager will be responsible for leading project teams in the development of System IP such as Interconnect, memory management, DMA and media addressing various market segment needs. Working closely with the Product Manager, Technical Lead and engineering teams, the project manager will be able to lead engineering projects from conception to final delivery to ensure quality, on-spec and timely delivery of products.

The candidate should have a solid track record of project management across all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle. Responsibilities include effective communication, planning, scheduling, tracking/monitoring, resource allocation, budget management, issue/risk management, change management, management of dependencies and delivering high quality products to committed schedules. This role requires a minimal level of travel to work across Arm and with Arm Partners.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of Microelectronics and/or Software (SW) development, intellectual property development flow and integration.
  • Experience within the Software or Semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with a range of development lifecycle methods (e.g., waterfall, iterative)
  • Demonstrated ability in building plans from high level to detailed schedule
  • Determine how best to deal with uncertainty and to generate effective metrics for tracking
  • Ability to communicate with highly skilled engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Pro‑active and pragmatic with regards to problem‑solving
  • Professional, with strong attention to detail
