Job summary

Babcock, at the Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth, is seeking a Project Procurement Specialist to deliver procurement and contract management expertise across major capital programmes, ensuring regulatory compliance and successful programme delivery.

The role requires NEC4 contract proficiency, strong supplier relationships, and collaboration with engineering, project management and commercial teams. Onsite, five days a week, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering procurement across capital projects, infrastructure, and new works.
• Strong NEC4 contracts knowledge including negotiation and risk management.
• Proven supplier relationship management to drive performance and issue resolution.
• Collaborates with engineering, project management, commercial and technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and digital procurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across capital projects and infrastructure programmes.
• Establish and manage framework agreements for professional services and suppliers.
• Build supplier relationships to drive value, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Negotiate terms and support NEC4-based contract management and governance.
• Monitor contract performance and support change control processes.
