Laing O'Rourke is looking for a Project Planner to join the team delivering ATNC – Norwich to Tilbury, a major infrastructure project forming part of the Great Grid Upgrade.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile and complex infrastructure programme, working alongside experienced project, engineering, commercial and delivery teams.
As a Project Planner, you will support the development, management and monitoring of project programmes, providing accurate programme information to help the project team plan, coordinate and successfully deliver the works.
This role would suit an experienced Project Planner looking to develop their career within a major infrastructure environment, or a planning professional looking to broaden their experience across a complex, multi-disciplinary project.
The Project Planner is responsible for supporting the development, management and monitoring of project programmes to help ensure successful project delivery.
Working closely with the project and delivery teams, the role will support programme development, progress monitoring, reporting and forecasting, while identifying potential risks, opportunities and impacts to programme performance.
The Project Planner will work collaboratively with engineering, commercial, procurement, construction and supply chain teams to ensure programme information is accurate, coordinated and aligned with project requirements.
We are looking for a motivated Project Planner with a good understanding of construction planning and project controls.
You will ideally have:
Experience of working on major infrastructure, energy, utilities, transmission, civil engineering or other complex construction projects would be advantageous.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your planning and project controls experience within a major infrastructure environment.
You will work alongside experienced planners and project delivery professionals, gaining exposure to programme development, construction sequencing, progress monitoring, forecasting, risk management and stakeholder coordination.
We are also interested in candidates from a strong engineering or construction background who are looking to develop their career in project planning and have a genuine interest in how projects are planned, sequenced and delivered.
ATNC – Norwich to Tilbury is a major infrastructure project forming part of the Great Grid Upgrade, supporting the development and reinforcement of the electricity transmission network across East Anglia.
The scale and complexity of the project provide an excellent opportunity to develop your planning experience within a challenging and multi-disciplinary project environment, working across multiple interfaces, stakeholders and delivery activities.
