Project Planner – Contract (Inside IR35) – Salisbury (Hybrid 3-4 days on site) – £500/day – 6 Months
If you’re an experienced Project Planner with a background in fast-paced, engineering-led environments, this is your chance to make an immediate impact.
You’ll be joining a high-growth aerospace business undergoing a major transformation, playing a key role in establishing scalable project planning processes across a broad portfolio of complex projects. From PM toolset implementation to schedule risk analysis, this is a hands-on, high-visibility role where your expertise will be felt from day one.
The Opportunity
6-month contract with Strong potential for extension
Hybrid working with on-site presence in Salisbury
Direct influence on how projects are planned, tracked, and reported
Work closely with senior leaders—including deputising for the Head of PMO
What You’ll Be Doing
Defining & rolling out a common project planning methodology across programmes
Leading the selection & implementation of a fit-for-purpose PM toolset
Supporting programme managers with progress tracking, forecasting, and risk mitigation
Producing critical path & schedule risk analysis outputs
Generating standardised reporting tools for project governance and reviews
What You’ll Need
Proven experience as a Project Planner or within a PMO environment
Strong knowledge of project planning processes and toolsets
Ability to quickly assess complex project landscapes and prioritise accordingly
Comfortable implementing new systems and process improvements
Skilled in schedule analysis, resource tracking, and SRA/critical path assessments
Excellent communication skills—you’ll be working with stakeholders across all levels
