A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Planner to join their team on a significant civils project in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project programs to ensure successful delivery within time and budget constraints. A strong background in civil engineering project delivery is essential to effectively integrate with the site team and understand the technical complexities of the works.
The role involves developing detailed project programs using Primavera P6 or similar planning software, collaborating with project stakeholders to define scope and milestones, and monitoring progress to identify and mitigate potential delays.
The planner will also analyze critical path activities, prepare progress reports, and evaluate subcontractor programs.
