Remuneration: $132,236.00 - $150,222.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation

Hours Per Week: 38

About us: The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.

About the Opportunity: This is an identified recruitment under Rule 26 of the Government Sector Employment (General) Rules 2014 where only Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people are considered eligible to apply for this role.

The Aboriginal Health & Wellbeing Project Officer will promote, develop and implement strategic change‑management initiatives that will improve the level and quality of health services for Aboriginal people across NSW. This includes projects that support better integration of care across sectors. The role will work collaboratively with ACI Clinical Networks, local health districts and specialty health networks managers and clinicians, the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector and other key stakeholders to facilitate the contribution of internal and external stakeholders in the innovation of new programs, frameworks and models of care and clinical guidelines across the state.

This role will also provide high‑level advice and executive support functions to senior committees and taskforces.

Selection Criteria

  • Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such under section 14 (d) of the NSW Anti‑discrimination Act (1977), with knowledge and experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. With relevant qualifications. Please explain that you have strong cultural connections and qualifications.
  • Demonstrate experience in project management and the implementation of local/regional projects, frameworks and/or initiatives with statewide application.
  • Sound knowledge of health system in NSW and the National context including understanding of Aboriginal health issues.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a complex environment dealing with and influencing senior management and external stakeholders to meet project needs in a timely manner.
