Role Purpose

The Project Manager – TIC Electrical is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering all electrical Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) projects within the division, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company objectives. This role provides departmental leadership, managing a team of electrical engineers and technicians, and acting as the key point of accountability for project execution, resource allocation, and client communication.

Unlike a traditional operations role, this position is project-focused, requiring strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and leadership capability to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager also drives continuous improvement, ensures accurate reporting, and maintains governance over safety, compliance, and data integrity within CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms.

A critical aspect of this role is ensuring that all TIC Electrical activities adhere to ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), embedding best practices and maintaining certification compliance across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
  • Develop detailed project plans for all TIC Electrical activities, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget control.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and met.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery schedules.
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead and manage the TIC Electrical team, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
  • Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular team briefings and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Compliance & ISO Governance
  • Ensure all electrical TIC projects comply with statutory regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Maintain governance over health and safety practices, including confined space and electrical safety protocols.
  • Embed ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) into project delivery processes and documentation.
  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits to maintain ISO certification.
Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate project data within CRM systems for client communication, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure workforce compliance and training records are up to date in HRIS.
  • Prepare detailed project reports for senior leadership, including KPIs, financial performance, and risk assessments.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all TIC Electrical projects.
  • Communicate project updates, resolve queries, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Project Delivery: 95% of TIC Electrical projects completed on time and within budget.
  • ISO Compliance: 100% adherence to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards across all projects.
  • Audit Performance: Achieve a minimum of 95% compliance score in internal and external audits related to ISO standards.
  • Data Accuracy: 100% compliance with CRM and HRIS data entry standards for project and workforce information.
  • Client Satisfaction: Maintain or improve client satisfaction scores through consistent communication and quality delivery.
  • Team Performance: Achievement of productivity and quality targets across all TIC Electrical projects.
Challenges & Opportunities
  • Complex Project Coordination: Managing multiple TIC Electrical projects simultaneously requires strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • ISO Governance: Maintaining compliance with ISO standards presents both a challenge and an opportunity to embed best practices and strengthen operational excellence.
  • Data Integrity: Ensuring accurate CRM and HRIS data is critical for forecasting and compliance, offering scope for process improvement.
  • Client Engagement: Building strong relationships with clients provides opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Innovation: Driving efficiency and adopting new technologies in TIC Electrical operations can deliver significant competitive advantage.
