Job summary

XAD Technologies is seeking a Project Manager for fixed network projects in the Aberdeen region. You will lead planning, execution and delivery, coordinating civil works, cable laying and related activities to meet client requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering complex telecom projects on time and within budget. This position is based on-site in Scotland and offers opportunities to influence project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the telecommunications industry within UK.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning, installation and maintenance of civil works, cable laying and related tasks.
• Lead Project Management Department and ensure proper planning, implementation, monitoring and delivery to client expectations.
• Administer project plans and ensure delivery on time, cost and quality in a safe, compliant way.
• Manage client relationships, including Tier 1 Contractors and Local Authorities.
• Identify and manage the critical path for builds.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project progress to stakeholders and provide updates.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to management.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
• Monitor and track project expenses to stay within budget.
