Location: North of the UK + Scotland (hybrid working)

Summary

We’re seeking a Project Manager to join our team leading exciting projects covering the North of the UK and Scotland. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful operational delivery of projects, inclusive of health and safety, technical, commercial, financial and managerial requirements, from bid to practical completion.

You’ll ensure that profitability is maintained or improved through effective leadership & high‑quality customer service and interface with relevant support functions allocated to the project, e.g. Safety, Design, Planning, Finance & Commercial.

Key Deliverables

• Demonstrate outstanding Health and Safety leadership, ensuring that safety is visible and alive throughout all activities.
• Ensure adherence to all NG Bailey’s policies, processes and procedures.
• Ensure that all works comply with NG Bailey IT Services Company standards and meet/exceed client expectations and international standards.
• Provide leadership for the project delivery team to maximise the potential of the team and individuals.
• Participate in bid activities and work in conjunction with the winning team and in line with our focus win processes.
• Provide input in preparing business plans and budgets accurately based on the initial contract parameters and objectives, seeking opportunities to maximise profit on the project and monitoring profitability.
• Provide appropriate input to all monthly reviews to keep senior management fully informed of the financial status of the project until completion.
• Manage all related activities to the successful completion of the projects in line with agreed quality and programme plans to achieve set targets.
• Maintain positive relationships with the customer through efficient delivery of projects to optimise future opportunities and profitability.
• Ensure that design and installation meet internal and client specifications and statutory requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in Structured Cabling and Datacoms.
• Solid experience of successful project delivery.
• Previous experience in Project Management.
• Proven coordination of construction services experience in a construction environment.
• Design capabilities and the ability to understand specifications and drawings.
• Commercial & Financial awareness.
• Reporting, including line management.
• Data Centre Builds ideally.
• Civils experience ideally.
• Electrical Knowledge ideally.
• Microsoft suite and Smart Sheets.

What we’ll require

• Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
• Driving Licence.
• CSCS/ECS Card in appropriate trade/grade.
• Project Management Certification (APM, CTPM or Prince 2).
