Job summary

The Morson Group seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the Enabling Functions Operating Model transformation within a Shared Services context. This hybrid role partners with Finance, Procurement and People Services, delivering on time, cost and quality across multiple functions.

You will manage third-party suppliers, translate business requirements into practical outcomes, maintain RAID logs and govern the delivery lifecycle to realise business change and improved processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering operating model transformation or business change programmes.
• Strong Shared Services experience across Finance, HR, IT and related processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA journeys across Finance or Commercial and HR tech transformation.
• Able to bridge business and technology teams and translate requirements into outcomes.
• Experience designing operating models with people change and governance.

• Deliver the programme to time, cost and quality, coordinating across Finance, Procurement and People Services.
• Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring milestones and quality commitments are met.
• Work with Procurement to translate business requirements into outcomes.
• Coordinate activity across multiple business units, develop plans, manage dependencies and RAID logs.
• Ensure governance and best practices are followed throughout delivery lifecycle.
• Collaborate with PMO and Transformation Delivery Director, escalating risks/issues as needed.

Project Manager- Shared Services Centre

• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Hybrid- Office visits twice per week to either office at Chesterfield or Warrington
• Pay range: £600- £650.00 per day/ Inside IR35
• Project: Shared Service Centre

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a key Enabling Functions Operating Model transformation. This role will work closely with Finance, Procurement and People Services, driving process improvement, operating model design and successful business change across multiple functions.

We’re particularly interested in candidates who have successfully delivered similar transformation initiatives or have partnered closely with Finance and Procurement to redesign processes and operating models.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the delivery of the Enabling Functions Operating Model project, ensuring agreed scope is successfully delivered.
• Deliver the programme to agreed time, cost and quality, working collaboratively with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement and People Services.
• Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring delivery against commercial commitments, milestones and quality expectations.
• Work closely with Procurement to manage the commercial process, ensuring business requirements are translated into successful outcomes.
• Coordinate activity across multiple business units, developing project plans, managing dependencies and maintaining RAID logs.
• Ensure the project follows governance, standards and best practice throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Work closely with PMO and the Transformation Delivery Director, escalating risks and issues where appropriate.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience delivering operating model transformation or business change programmes.
• Strong Shared Services experience, particularly across Finance, HR, IT/new capability establishment, shared service requirements and implementation, and financial/commercial processes.
• Experience of technology-enabled transformation, ideally including SAP S/4HANA journeys across Finance or Commercial, and SuccessFactors or wider HR technology transformation.
• Able to bridge business and technology teams, speaking the language of both and translating requirements into practical delivery outcomes.
• Experience designing and implementing operating models, with an understanding of operating model design, people change, business change, transition states and technology implementation.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, including working with senior stakeholders such as Chief People Officers, CFOs and Heads of Procurement/Commercial; comfortable managing challenging stakeholders and designing operating models that impact these functions.
• Ability to coordinate complex, cross-functional programmes involving multiple business areas.
• Strong governance, planning, RAID management and reporting experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
