Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp in Manchester is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead light rail and wider rail initiatives, delivering on time, cost and quality across major projects and frameworks. You will manage budgets, risks and programmes, liaise with clients, contractors and consultants, apply NEC3/NEC4 contracts, and ensure governance, documentation and reporting are kept up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience on light rail, heavy rail or wider rail projects through delivery and implementation.
• Liaising with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
• Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing project budgets, costs, risks and programmes.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to update reports and present information to diverse audiences.
• Understanding of CDM responsibilities from a client perspective.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

If you have experience of working on light rail, heavy rail or wider rail industry / infrastructure projects through delivery and implementation, we have an opportunity for you to join our team in the Manchester office. To carry out the requirements of this Project Manager role you will also have a good working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts and manage project budgets, costs, risks and programmes contractors, consultants and stakeholders.

What you need to do to be effective in this role

• Ability to support projects, programmes and portfolios from inception to close out. You will demonstrate:
  • Experience in working on light rail, heavy rail or wider rail industry / infrastructure projects through delivery and implementation

  • Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
  • Experience of involvement on project budgets, costs, risks and programmes

Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:

• Consultancy construction project management experience
• The ability to be an important team member of a series of projects and manage client relationships
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and similar digital software
• Knowledge of project management plans
• Previous experience of working on civil engineering schemes
• Experience of working client side or as Consultant
