Walk Wheel Cycle Trust seeks a Project Manager NCN for Midlands to lead planning, delivery and evaluation of active travel projects across the NCN. As Project Manager for the National Cycle Network (NCN), you will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of active travel projects across the Midlands. This role brings together project management, technical knowledge, community engagement and strategic thinking to help improve the National Cycle Network and associated infrastructure. You will work closely with colleagues, local authorities, community groups and other partners to deliver projects that create positive, sustainable outcomes for people and places. The role requires strong organisation, clear communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Around 500 million walking, wheeling and cycling journeys are made on the National Cycle Network each year, helping connect people, communities and the places that matter most to them. The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust created the National Cycle Network through collaboration with communities, volunteers, supporters and hundreds of organisations across the UK. As custodians of the network, we are responsible for maintaining and improving it while shaping a long-term vision for its future. Our goal is to make walking, wheeling and cycling safer, more accessible and more inclusive, enabling more people to choose active travel as part of their everyday lives.
