Job summary

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust seeks a Project Manager NCN for Midlands to lead planning, delivery and evaluation of active travel projects across the NCN. You will coordinate design, construction and implementation, managing multiple priorities while building strong relationships with partners and local authorities.

This hybrid, full-time role offers 37.5 hours and a flexible approach; salary £33,265 per year (pro rata for part-time).

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, plus 2+ years experience or 5+ years in transport/active travel.
• Understanding of active travel infrastructure and standards.
• Experience managing projects within established frameworks, including planning, monitoring progress and delivering outcomes.
• Experience supporting business development activities, including opportunities, bids/proposals, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of National Cycle Network infrastructure projects, from planning through to completion.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners and local authorities.
• Support development of the project pipeline by identifying opportunities and progressing projects to delivery.
• Share knowledge via reports and presentations to inform and influence stakeholders.
