Mechanical Project Manager to join their Mechanical Handling Division. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of complex, multidisciplinary turnkey projects, managing them from tender through to commissioning.
About The Role
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the full project lifecycle of large-scale mechanical handling systems. This includes managing cross-functional engineering teams, preparing estimates and tenders, liaising with clients and suppliers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end project management of complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Leadership of internal teams across estimating, design, and delivery phases.
- Preparation of technical and functional specifications and tender documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external suppliers.
- Ensure full compliance with contract conditions (e.g., NEC or similar).
Requirements
- Minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience managing complex mechanical engineering projects.
- Demonstrable experience in project and contract management.
- Experience with mechanical systems in large moving structures or mechanical handling.
- Familiarity with NEC or equivalent contract frameworks.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
- Working knowledge of the European Machinery Directive and statutory legislation.
