Job summary

Matchtech are seeking a Project Manager to lead a multi-billion-pound civil engineering programme in Essex, overseeing delivery from construction phase forwards and coordinating across contractors, consultants and technical teams. You will ensure health and safety compliance and manage documentation and milestones.

With experience in regulated infrastructures, you will monitor progress, manage risks and costs, and drive stakeholder engagement to successful programme delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within complex civil engineering or construction programmes.
• Practical experience of managing construction-stage projects.
• Background in highly regulated industries such as airports, nuclear, rail or water.
• Strong understanding of construction delivery, project controls, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness and ability to commute to Stansted and work on site three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of complex civil engineering projects from the construction phase onwards.
• Coordinate project activities across contractors, consultants, technical teams and other stakeholders.
• Monitor programme progress, project performance, risks, costs and quality standards.
• Ensure construction activities comply with relevant health and safety, regulatory and industry requirements.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, change control and delivery milestones.
• Support the resolution of technical, commercial and operational challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders to support successful programme delivery.
