Job summary

Matchtech Group is partnering to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee a multi-billion pound civil engineering programme in Essex, with on-site requirement three days per week at Stansted.

You will lead delivery from construction phase, coordinate across contractors and technical teams, monitor progress, risks and costs, and ensure compliance with health and safety and regulatory standards. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are essential for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex civil engineering or construction programmes.
• Background in highly regulated sectors (airports, nuclear, rail, water).
• Strong delivery controls, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Willing to commute to Stansted and work on site three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of complex civil engineering projects from construction phase onwards.
• Coordinate activities across contractors, consultants, technical teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor programme progress, risks, costs and quality.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, regulatory and industry standards.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, change control and milestones.
• Support resolution of technical, commercial and operational challenges.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to support programme delivery.
