You will be responsible for leading and developing multiple projects within our energy business unit during the pre-construction phases, including managing feasibility studies, feasibility design, and detailed design to ensure successful project progression into construction.

Working alongside our Head of Pre-Contract, your primary responsibilities will include supporting the bidding process and contributing to activities such as:

• Managing all designated project work to ensure successful completion in accordance with safety, technical, and legislative policies, as well as adhering to the P6 programme, cost, and quality standards.
• Conducting site visits, attending kickoff meetings, monitoring progress, and providing regular updates to Clancy and the client.
• Coordinating with clients, senior management, and stakeholders to meet key programme milestones.
• Executing project execution plans aligned with the proposed delivery strategy.
• Demonstrating leadership and promoting both Clancy and client behaviors, maintaining proactive relationships.
• Managing subcontractors involved in the delivery of works, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
• Monitoring and documenting information throughout the pre-construction phase and ensuring proper handover to the delivery team.
• Supporting estimating teams in producing construction programmes, pricing, risk registers, and initial safety documentation.
• Assisting consenting teams with stakeholder management and consent plans.
• Supporting commercial teams to maintain cost control and manage project finances via NEC contracts.

• Contractual experience, ideally with NEC contracts
• Experience in delivering works, building programmes, and engaging with subcontractors
• High Voltage and Utilities experience (preferred)
• Project management experience in pre-construction development and build projects
• Technical and practical experience managing projects within DNO substations and highways
• Proficiency with Primavera P6
• Experience working with Excel data
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
