Senior Project Manager - Major Works (Fire Safety) - East London

Rate: £450 per day
Duration: Rolling Contract
Location: Romford / Flexible (site & office attendance required)
Hours: Full-time

Havering Council are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Major Works team on a rolling contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering essential fire safety construction projects across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage major works projects with a focus on fire safety compliance.
·Ensure projects meet all requirements under the Building Safety Act 2022, including work on higher-risk buildings.
·Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary consultant teams to ensure successful delivery.
·Maintain daily communication with your line manager (video call required) and ensure full availability Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00.
·Attend site visits and office-based meetings as required, including mandatory attendance at the Romford office every Thursday.

About You:
·Proven experience delivering fire safety construction projects to residential or public buildings.
·Strong knowledge of regulatory processes for higher-risk buildings under the Building Safety Act 2022.
·Demonstrated track record in project managing consultant teams.
·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
·Flexible approach with ability to balance remote working, office attendance, and site visits.
