  • Manage HV/MEP designer and subcontractor design activities, ensuring outputs are tracked, reviewed, and reported to the Project Director.
  • Coordinate internal design interface meetings with the construction department and manage external client/supplier design workshops.
  • Oversee BIM requirements and Digital Engineering practices for permanent and temporary works alongside the CAD team.
  • Lead the day‑to‑day management of HV/LV subcontractors and suppliers on‑site.
  • Produce, maintain, and manage the resourced construction section of the contract programme.
  • Establish production targets, monitor resource levels, and implement action plans to optimize site efficiency.
  • Manage the compilation of project handover documentation and ensure data compliance.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to develop detailed subcontractor packages, review monthly accounts, and manage cost/value forecasts.
  • Actively promote highest‑level standards for Health, Safety, Environmental, Sustainability, and Quality (HSQE) compliance.
  • Implement CDM requirements and maintain active participation in project risk management.

  • Substantial combined background in both design management and site construction, ideally within Design & Build (D&B) frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of National Grid Transmission Procedures, Technical Specifications, and Principal Designer/Contractor duties.
