Randstad CPE is seeking a Project Manager to lead a civil engineering package at a live port facility in Folkestone. You will oversee demolition, reinstatement, new foundations, and temporary works, coordinating design teams and site activities to deliver on time and to budget.
The role requires strong CDM 2015 and subcontractor management experience, a civil engineering degree or equivalent, and a track record of working at port or infrastructure sites.
Location: Folkestone
Rate: £350 - £420 per day (Negotiable via CIS)
Working Pattern: Fully Site-Based (07:30 - 17:00)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead a civil engineering package at a live port facility in Folkestone. The scope includes superstructure demolition at a viaduct end, basement infill, concrete/drainage reinstatement, Passenger Boarding Bridge (SPBB) removal, new foundations, and temporary works.
Programming & Risk: Develop master schedules, manage 3-week lookaheads, and drive risk mitigation.
Stakeholder Management: Main point of contact for the client, port operations, and third parties.
Commercial & Procurement: Manage subcontractor procurement, site performance, and commercial control.
Site Management & QA: Oversee design management, Quality Assurance, site teams, and strict CDM 2015/H&S compliance.
Proven experience managing civil engineering schemes in ports, infrastructure, or utilities.
Strong background in CDM 2015, subcontractor management, and commercial delivery.
Civil Engineering Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience.
CSCS Card & First Aid (Temporary Works / Lifting qualifications desirable).
