Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting an Estimating Engineer to join a well-established engineering business in Bradford, focusing on HVAC project estimation and commercial viability. You will estimate ventilation, air conditioning and general HVAC projects from specifications, schedules and drawings, and liaise with clients to finalise designs.

Take-offs and Estimation software (including Ensign) are used daily; CAD skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

Are you an Estimating Engineer looking to join a well-established and rapidly growing engineering business where you will play a key role in estimating HVAC projects and there are great paths for progression?

Do you want to join a company that invests in its people, and gives you the opportunity to estimate ventilation, air conditioning and general HVAC projects while working closely with clients, reviewing technical specifications and drawings, and helping deliver competitive solutions across the HVAC market?

This role would suit an Estimating Engineer or similar with previous experience estimating within the HVAC industry, strong product knowledge, and a commercially minded approach who is looking for a varied role with opportunities for training and progression.

In this role, the successful candidate will estimate HVAC projects from specifications, schedules and drawings, liaise with clients to finalise designs, follow up quotations, carry out cost analysis and value engineering, and work closely with Project Engineers to ensure a smooth handover once projects are secured.
