Job summary

Henley Chase in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead demolition and strip-out projects. You will manage multiple smaller schemes, coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers, and keep programmes on track while monitoring costs and commercial performance.

The role requires hands-on site leadership, a strong health and safety mindset, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• PM experience within demolition preferred.
• Strip-out or enabling works experience considered.
• Strong understanding of demolition processes.
• Good health & safety knowledge.
• Confident with subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ideally based within commuting distance of Nottingham.

Responsibilities

• Manage demolition and strip-out projects from start to completion.

Project Manager - Demolition

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £40,000-£45,000

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing demolition and strip-out contractor based in Nottingham.

The business operates nationwide but primarily delivers projects across the Midlands. Projects are generally smaller in value, ranging from around £1,000 to £1m.

The Role

• Manage demolition and strip-out projects from start to completion
• Oversee multiple smaller projects simultaneously
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Manage project programmes and ensure works remain on schedule
• Monitor project costs and commercial performance
• Liaise with clients and maintain strong working relationships
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
• Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant legislation
• Review RAMS and site documentation
• Monitor progress and resolve issues on site
• Attend site meetings where required
• Provide regular project updates to senior management
• Manage variations and additional works
• Assist with project handovers and completion
• Projects include internal strip-outs and demolition of industrial, commercial and residential buildings
• Nationwide work, with the majority of projects across the Midlands
• Primarily smaller projects up to approximately £1m

Requirements

• Previous Project Management experience within demolition is preferred
• Strip-out, enabling works or related construction experience will also be considered
• Strong understanding of demolition processes and site operations
• Good knowledge of health & safety requirements
• Confident managing subcontractors and site teams
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Commercially aware with good attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
• Ideally based within commuting distance of Nottingham

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience.
