Babcock is seeking a Project Manager for the Devonport Royal Dockyard site in Plymouth. You will deliver technology, digital and infrastructure projects from initiation through to handover, coordinating teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.

The role offers a full-time, on-site schedule (35 hours/week) with opportunities to contribute to business transformation and operational excellence in a leading defence and engineering organisation.

The role

As a Project Manager, you'll take ownership of delivering technology, digital and infrastructure projects from initiation through to operational handover and closure. Working with technical specialists, suppliers and stakeholders, you'll coordinate people, resources and activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Day-to-day, you'll have the opportunity to work on varied and meaningful projects that support business transformation and operational excellence. You'll gain exposure to complex delivery environments, build relationships across multiple disciplines and develop valuable experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles within a leading defence and engineering organisation.

Essential experience of the Project Manager

• Experience delivering projects within a technology, digital, information technology, data or digital infrastructure environment.
• Demonstrable project management experience across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience managing project scope, risks, budgets, schedules and change control.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and suppliers while managing competing priorities.

Qualifications for the Project Manager

Essential

• Degree, HND or equivalent experience in Project Management, Business, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Association for Project Management Project Management Qualification (PMQ).

Desirable

• Agile certification.
• Scrum certification.
• Relevant professional development in project delivery, business change or digital technologies.
