Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Project Managers in the UK defence industry to work on upgrade projects at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. The roles are freelance, with daily rates ranging from £350 to £550 Ltd, depending on experience and role.

Currently, we need:

  • Senior Project Manager (Mechanical Handling & Moorings)
  • Assistant Project Manager (Cranes and Moorings)

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring quality systems are managed in line with service excellence.
  • Delivering and managing project plans from inception through design, procurement, and construction, meeting project milestones.
  • Supporting senior project managers and teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Reviewing design processes and assisting the design team.
  • Scoping work packages for design drawings.
  • Assisting with procurement and subcontractor appointments.
  • Supporting construction managers to meet delivery schedules.
  • Participating in progress meetings and monitoring project deliverables.
  • Reviewing contractor reports and quality sign-offs.
  • Managing scope changes and project programs.
