Brief Description
As a project manager (change) you will manage the development and delivery of change projects to agreed scope, time, cost and quality requirements, working with Function Directors, Executive Sponsors and their representatives.
There is a requirement for this role to attain appropriate security clearance (CTC)
About The Role (External)
Everyday will be different but you should expect to be involved in the following activities:
In this role, you'll lead the successful delivery of strategic change initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders to define project scope, success criteria, and ensure alignment with company processes. You'll manage cross-functional teams, develop project plans, oversee budgets, and mitigate risks driving impactful change that supports long-term business goals and continuous improvement.
You'll act as the central point of contact for all matters relating to route security preparedness. In line with the Regional Strategy, you'll develop and maintain robust security plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Your leadership will be key in coordinating contingency planning and supporting the route's response to major events and disruptions.
Working collaboratively with internal route teams, train operators, British Transport Police, and local authorities, you'll implement performance improvement schemes targeting external delay categories. You'll influence key stakeholders, monitor the effectiveness of initiatives, and provide expert advice on priorities to enhance operational performance across the route.
Additionally, you'll coordinate annual security exercises, facilitate post-incident debriefs, and promote continuous improvement in incident management. Supporting the development of responses to major cultural and sporting events, you'll ensure operational readiness. This role also includes deputising for the Executive Lead on Central Route when required to do On-calls, weekend, and public holiday work.
