Job summary

Cannon Fire is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate commercial, technical and delivery aspects of sprinkler projects from design through completion in London. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, maintain client relationships and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in sprinkler project management, LPC qualification and a strong health & safety background, with readiness to travel and lead meetings and reports to senior

Qualifications

  • More than five years project management experience within the sprinkler industry.
  • Basic LPC design qualification held; knowledge of LPC, BS and FM rules/guidance.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety management and culture.
  • Comprehensive industry knowledge across sprinkler systems and compliance.
  • Strong management/leadership and customer-facing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Flexible with working hours and able to travel/work away from home when required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the delivery of all design, technical and operational aspects of projects.
  • Oversees the design and compliance process from sale to completion.
  • Acts as internal link across departments and with subcontract resources to ensure project completion.
  • Initiates involvement of appropriate departments and maintains cross-functional communications.
  • Leads project meetings and represents the business in customer kick-offs when required.
  • Drives customer teleconferences, site visits, audits and timely reporting.
  • Interacts with QA/regulatory personnel to close issue reports.
  • Provides accurate financial forecasting and reporting to Project Director/board.
  • Manages revenue recognition and coordinates with Accounting before invoicing.
  • Participates in cross-functional process improvement activities and maintains customer satisfaction.

The Role

Cannon Fire is a specialist trade fire suppression and sprinklers company who work on behalf of a variety of Fire and FM and M&E companies.

The Project Manager role co-ordinates across all commercial, technical and delivery aspects of a project. This will range from initial discussions with clients, design development of the project requirements, documentation aspects of setting up the project and management of all project related activities through to completion.

Job Description
  • Manages the delivery of all design, technical and operational aspects of projects.
  • Over sees the design and compliance process from point of sale to completion.
  • Serves as the internal link within the company and will have direct contact with all internal departments, inclusive of sub contract resources in order to facilitate project completion.
  • Initiates the involvement of appropriate departments, maintaining continuous communication with those departments, and ensures the work delivered to customers is of a consistently high standard.
  • Attends Project Meetings at the business or customer site. Leads and represents the business at kick off meetings as required by the customer.
  • Leads and facilitates customer teleconferences, visits and audits as required, and provides timely provision of customer reports and updates.
  • Interacts with Quality Assurance/Regulatory personnel to drive Problem Reports to closure.
  • Provides accurate and timely financial forecasting and reporting to Project Director and board level when required.
  • Responsible for revenue recognition for projects and verifies final production information for Accounting Department prior to invoices release.
  • Participates in cross-functional business process improvement activities as required.
  • Works closely together with the account manager to gain overall customer satisfaction.
  • Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
