Thrive on openness, respect, and collaboration? Good. Us too. Buro Happold has an exciting opportunity for an IT PMO Business Systems Project Manager to join the Project Management Office team.

Buro Happold is currently going through a period of strategic growth. This growth has resulted in an increased demand within the IT and Business Services Team, as we support BAU and drive forward with improvement initiatives.

As an extremely collaborative professional, you excel at building excellent working relationships and possess a high level of political sensitivity and ethics. Your essential soft skills include effective listening, persuasion, a collaborative leadership style, flexibility, self-motivation, creativity, and insightfulness.

As part of our strategic growth and succession planning, this new role will increase our capacity to manage a growing portfolio of business systems projects. You’ll work closely with the IT PMO Manager and mentor Project Coordinators, playing a key role in delivering critical systems that support our global operations.

You’ll report directly to the IT PMO Manager and be a vital part of a collaborative and supportive team. Your leadership will help shape the future of our IT project delivery.

Required Skills

  • Experience leading the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects
  • PMO management experience or project management experience interacting with a PMO and the confidence to perform a PMO management role.
  • Excellent communicator who can talk with specialists and distil important aspects from technical information for different audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills including planning and resource management.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills to take others on the journey.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools is desirable
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control

Qualifications and Accreditations:

  • A Project management qualification PMP / PRINCE2 / PMI or Agile certification is a plus but is not required.
