Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in Nottinghamshire to lead engineering projects from enquiry through to design, procurement, installation and commissioning. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required specification.

The role offers a varied project portfolio across process and packaging equipment, with chances to progress into senior project roles.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Project Engineer or similar.
• Background in process engineering or process equipment.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, pipework and mechanical equipment.
• Understanding PLC-controlled equipment and electrical control panels.
• Experience managing project costs, quotations and procurement.

The Company

Our client is an established engineering business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of process and packaging equipment.

They supply equipment to a range of industries, including food, dairy, beverage, brewing, pharmaceutical and chemical.

Their products include:

• Pumps, valves and pipework
• Tanks and vessels
• Processing and packaging systems
• Heating, cooling and mixing equipment

Due to continued growth and an increasing project workload, they are looking to recruit an additional Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team.

The Role

This is a varied Project Engineering position where you will manage projects from the initial customer enquiry through to design, procurement, installation and commissioning.

You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required specification.

• Experience managing project costs, quotations and procurement.
• Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Organised, proactive and commercially aware.
