Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to lead complex water and wastewater projects within the AMP8 framework. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, plan resources, and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

As a key part of our integrated delivery team, you will drive HSQE compliance, manage change, and cultivate client relationships while mentoring site managers and engineers for project

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Project Manager role within the water industry.
• APM PMQ (or equivalent project management qualification).
• SMSTS (CITB).
• CSCS (Manager Level).
• CDM Awareness.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery of multiple projects (up to £10 million in value).
• Undertake Principal Contractor responsibilities in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations.
• Lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) procedures across all projects.
• Conduct regular health and safety site inspections and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Manage overall project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Oversee all commercial aspects, including budget management, cost control, and margins.
• Provide line management to Site Managers, Engineers, and Site Foremen.
• Coordinate and manage supply chain partners, resolving issues and driving performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders; build relationships and provide updates.
• Chair and lead project meetings with accurate documentation of actions and decisions.
• Manage change control and client expectations through risk management.
• Collaborate with designers to develop practical, cost-effective buildable solutions.
• Mentor and support the professional development of project delivery teams.
• Ensure all method statements and risk assessments are in place and maintained.
• Plan and secure resources and materials to meet delivery schedules.
