Wilkins Talent Solutions Limited in Swindon is recruiting an experienced ERP Finance Transition Manager to lead the finance workstreams within a major ERP transformation for a manufacturing business. You will work with senior finance leadership to design, test, migrate and embed financial processes, controls and reporting in the new system, ensuring data integrity and effective go-live support.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with significant ERP implementation/finance transformation experience.
• Experience delivering or leading the finance element of a major ERP implementation in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, reporting and data requirements.

Responsibilities

Contract: 12–15 Month Fixed Term Contract

An established organisation based in the Swindon area is embarking on a significant business-wide ERP transformation and is looking to appoint an experienced ERP Finance Transition Manager to play a key role in the successful delivery of the programme.

This is a senior, hands-on transformation position requiring a qualified accountant with substantial ERP implementation experience within a manufacturing environment.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will take ownership of the finance elements of the ERP programme, ensuring that financial processes, controls, reporting and data requirements are effectively designed, tested, migrated and embedded within the new environment.

The Role

As ERP Finance Transition Manager, you will act as the key link between Finance, the wider business and the ERP implementation team.

You will ensure finance requirements are clearly understood and translated into robust, practical system solutions, while providing appropriate challenge and guidance throughout the implementation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading finance workstreams throughout the ERP implementation lifecycle
• Working closely with senior finance stakeholders to understand and prioritise business requirements
• Reviewing and redesigning finance processes for the future ERP environment
• Challenging and validating proposed system solutions
• Coordinating finance participation in workshops, design sessions and testing
• Managing finance-related programme risks, issues and dependencies
• Supporting finance data cleansing, mapping and migration
• Developing the chart of accounts and associated mappings
• Validating migrated financial data and balances
• Coordinating opening balance and cutover activities
• Supporting the development and validation of financial reporting, dashboards and KPIs
• Leading finance User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Supporting training and business readiness
• Playing a key role during go-live and post-implementation support

Finance Process Areas

The role will have involvement across a broad range of finance processes, including:

• General ledger

• Planning and production-related finance processes

• Financial and management reporting

About You

To be considered, you will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant experience of delivering or leading the finance element of a major ERP implementation within a manufacturing business.

You will need a strong understanding of both finance and the operational processes that sit behind the numbers, particularly around manufacturing, inventory, costing, planning and production.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Significant ERP implementation or finance transformation experience
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong management and financial accounting knowledge
• Understanding of production, planning and scheduling processes
• Strong inventory and costing knowledge
• Experience of finance process design and improvement
• Data migration, reconciliation and UAT experience
• Strong project management and organisational capability
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders, operational teams and external implementation partners
• Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills

Experience of complex ERP migrations, manufacturing systems or major business transformation programmes would be particularly advantageous.
