Job summary

KS Composites in Old Dalby is seeking a commercially focused Project Manager to own fast-paced, technically challenging projects from concept to delivery within a manufacturing setting.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high quality standards. The role requires UK travel and a strong background in composites or advanced manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Full UK driving licence and own transport due to rural location.
• Experience in project management within manufacturing, automotive, or engineering environments.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from initial handover through to completion.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications.
• Identify and secure project variations and additional commercial opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams to meet delivery deadlines.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Track debtor status and escalated issues where necessary.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including BOMs, trackers, and reports.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Support and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be accountable for projects working alongside and pulling forward from the Commercial team, ensuring delivery is achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will act as the key link between customers and internal departments including Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Commercial, ensuring clear communication and smooth project execution throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple projects from initial handover through to completion

Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications

Identify and secure project variations and additional commercial opportunities

Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships

Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams to meet critical delivery deadlines

Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance

Track debtor status and escalated issues where necessary

Prepare and maintain project documentation including BOMs, trackers, and reports

Key Skills and Competencies

The Candidate

Commercial awareness and confident stakeholder management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word

Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and BOMs

Experience within composites or advanced manufacturing sectors

CAD knowledge or technical drawing interpretation

Background in estimating, sales, or business development

Experience delivering projects against commercial and operational targets

Flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally
