The Role

As a Project Manager, you will work within a team to lead the delivery of both standard and complex projects within an exciting, fast-paced environment. Our projects align with digital engineering and the integration of new and modified technologies into existing platforms. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the delivery of highly classified projects, making a tangible difference to national security.

Day-to-day, you’ll influence and align others towards the project visions, while empowering and inspiring them to achieve success.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Identifying, planning, and implementing actions to positively engage parties, driving interest and influence towards project outputs
• Developing and maintaining positive engagement with project customers, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Delivering project outputs to an agreed baseline such as customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash, and sales
• Applying governance requirements for sales and delivery work, including lifecycle, project, and independent reviews
• Business development: identifying, qualifying, developing, and delivering solutions to customers, articulating the benefits of QinetiQ solutions
• Negotiation, conflict management, and human resource management

Essential Experience of the Project Manager

• Previous experience delivering multiple projects
• Ability to identify, qualify, develop, and deliver solutions supporting business development
• Experience managing complex projects

Essential Qualifications for the Project Manager

• APM qualified or another comparable project management qualification
• Willingness to undergo DV Clearance

This role is 37 hours per week based at PTP, Portsmouth, with hybrid working patterns available.

Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is a key facility focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services, utilizing sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyze and predict performance.
