Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Ready to impact a better future?

As a Project Manager within our Healthcare team, you will lead, coordinate and manage the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) Fire Strategy Review Programme, overseeing the review, development and implementation of a comprehensive, site-wide fire strategy.

Working closely with the Project Coordinator, Serco Hard FM, specialist fire consultants and key stakeholders, you will ensure compliance with statutory fire safety legislation, NHS guidance, Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and contractual obligations. You will provide leadership throughout the programme lifecycle, including governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, specification development, procurement and the delivery of associated passive and active fire safety improvements.

This role provides a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in enhancing fire safety standards across the estate and will contribute directly to the long-term operational strategy.

By bringing together multiple stakeholders and driving a coordinated programme of improvement, you will help shape the future fire safety strategy of the NNUH estate, delivering lasting benefits for both the Trust and the communities it serves.

What you’ll do as a Project Manager

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Lead and coordinate the review, development, approval and implementation of the site-wide Fire Strategy Programme
  • Manage complex fire safety projects and associated remedial works, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on time and within budget
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders including the Trust, Project Co, consultants, contractors and regulatory bodies
  • Identify and manage programme risks, developing effective mitigation plans to protect people, property and operational services
  • Support procurement activities, oversee contractor performance and ensure value for money across programme delivery
  • Maintain robust governance, reporting and compliance processes, providing regular updates to senior leaders and key decision-makers
  • Promote innovation, continuous improvement and best practice in fire safety management and estate resilience
Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have

  • A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery, governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement within complex environments
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple organisations
