Job summary

PSR Solutions seeks an experienced Project Manager for a permanent role in Manchester working for a leading main contractor on design-and-build, education and commercial schemes.

You will manage projects to ensure safety, site programmes, budget and quality, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and sub-contractors to deliver successful outcomes. CSCS, SMSTS and first aid are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Construction industry, Design & Build, Education or commercial projects.
• Proven track delivering projects as a Senior Project Manager on 10m-30m schemes.
• Experience with main contractor as Senior Project Manager.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• CSCS, SMSTS and first aid certification held.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of safety on site.
• Contribute to value engineering and build-ability of projects.
• Agree programmes and construction methods with planners and production personnel.
• Marshals resources and selects subcontractors for works.
• Ensure dates, resources, production rates and overheads are controlled.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams and cost control.
• Establish and maintain commercial/financial controls to meet contract requirements.

PROJECT MANAGER REQUIRED ON PERMANENT BASIS IN MANCHESTER FOR A MAIN CONTRACTOR

I am assisting my client with an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a leading main contractor. The business undertake projects in various sectors including Commercial, Education and Defence projects, with values ranging between 10m and 30m.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure the safe completion, in accordance with programme, specification and budget.

Salary: 75,000 - 90,000 + Package

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining the highest standards of safety
• Contributing to the value engineering and build-ability of the project
• Agreement of programmes and methods of construction with Planners and other appropriate production personnel
• Marshalling of resources for the overall control and execution of the works including the selection of sub-contractors to carry out the works
• Ensuring that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, overhead targets etc., are established, monitored and controlled
• Managing multi disciplinary teams
• Cost Control
• Establishing and maintaining commercial and financial control systems, procedures and standards which will meet the contractual requirements of the projects

Experience and Qualifications:

• You will ideally have experience of working within the Construction industry, specifically on Design and Build, Education or commercial projects.
• A proven track of success of delivering projects as a Senior Project Manager up to 10m- 30m in value
• You will have experience of working for a main contractor as a Senior Project Manager.
• Good communication verbally and in written form.
• Hold current CSCS, SMSTS and first aid certification
• Present a clean and tidy site and have a good understanding of the considerate contractor's requirements to achieve high score
