Job summary

CV Technical Limited in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead multiple mechanical projects from site surveys through to installation and commissioning. The role is office-based with a Monday–Friday pattern.

You will produce general arrangement drawings in AutoCAD (2D; 3D experience advantageous), coordinate suppliers and installation teams, manage budgets and milestones, and liaise with customers to ensure quality delivery.

Mechanical Project Manager

Salary up to £58,000 + Company Car | Monday-Friday | Office-Based

We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join an established projects division, managing multiple projects simultaneously, with individual project values exceeding £1.8 million.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team in a stable, long-term position, taking ownership of projects from initial site surveys and design through to installation and commissioning.

The Role

• Managing multiple mechanical projects from start to completion.
• Carrying out site surveys and liaising directly with customers.
• Producing general arrangement and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD 2D (3D experience advantageous).
• Ordering materials, parts and equipment.
• Coordinating suppliers, negotiating costs, monitoring lead times and supplier performance.
• Monitoring project costs and budgets to maximise profitability.

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Project Management.
• HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' AutoCAD experience.
• Experience managing mechanical projects.
• Air systems or conveyor systems experience would be advantageous.
• Confident dealing with customers, suppliers and installation teams.
• Strong organisational, commercial and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

The Package

• Salary up to £58,000, depending on experience.
