Job summary

CV Technical Limited is recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager for Leicester-based projects. The role covers surveys, design through to installation and commissioning, with project values over £1.8 million. You will manage multiple concurrent mechanical projects and liaise directly with customers and suppliers.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in project management, a mechanical engineering background (HNC), and AutoCAD experience. A company car and a structured bonus scheme are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in project management is essential.
• HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years' AutoCAD experience (2D; 3D advantageous).
• Experience managing mechanical projects.
• Air or conveyor systems experience is advantageous.
• Strong customer, supplier and team liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple mechanical projects from start to finish.
• Conduct site surveys and liaise with customers.
• Produce GA drawings using AutoCAD 2D (3D a plus).
• Order materials and coordinate suppliers.
• Coordinate suppliers, monitor costs and lead times.
• Monitor project budgets to maximise profitability.
• Organise installation teams and scheduling.
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics and commissioning.

Mechanical Project Manager

Salary up to £58,000 + Company Car | Monday-Friday | Office-Based

We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join an established projects division, managing multiple projects simultaneously, with individual project values exceeding £1.8 million.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team in a stable, long-term position, taking ownership of projects from initial site surveys and design through to installation and commissioning.

The Role

• Managing multiple mechanical projects from start to completion.
• Carrying out site surveys and liaising directly with customers.
• Producing general arrangement and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD 2D (3D experience advantageous).
• Ordering materials, parts and equipment.
• Coordinating suppliers, negotiating costs, monitoring lead times and supplier performance.
• Monitoring project costs and budgets to maximise profitability.
• Organising and overseeing installation teams.
• Managing deliveries, site logistics and installation schedules.
• Arranging and coordinating commissioning.

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Project Management.
• HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' AutoCAD experience.
• Experience managing mechanical projects.
• Air systems or conveyor systems experience would be advantageous.
• Confident dealing with customers, suppliers and installation teams.
• Strong organisational, commercial and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

The Package

• Salary up to £58,000, depending on experience.
