Job summary

Salter Grange in Central London is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex public-sector projects across the UK, including education, MoJ, and MoD sectors. You will lead from pre-construction to completion and take overall responsibility for schedules, budgets and safety.

The role requires NEC contract experience and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders while traveling nationwide to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven PM with Tier 1 main contractor background.
• Extensive public-sector project delivery experience.
• Experience with NEC or similar contracts.

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor, delivering complex projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in public-sector construction, who has experience delivering projects valued at £8m+ and is comfortable working within highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.


• Take overall responsibility for programme, commercial performance, quality, health & safety and client relationships.


• Manage project teams, subcontractors, consultants and supply-chain partners.


• Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved.


• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are delivered.


• Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities.


• Ensure projects are delivered in line with company procedures and relevant legislation.


• Provide effective leadership across the project team and drive a strong health & safety culture.


• Manage stakeholder relationships across complex public-sector environments.


• Travel nationwide as required depending on project requirements.

Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with a Tier 1 main contractor.


• Strong public-sector project experience is essential.


• Experience across one or more of the following sectors:


• DfE / Education


• MoJ / Justice


• MoD / Defence


• Strong understanding of NEC and/or other relevant forms of contract.


• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project environments.


• Willingness and ability to travel nationwide.
