Job summary

365 Recruit is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a large-scale commercial construction project near Maidenhead. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and drive the programme while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have Tier 1 main contractor experience, a proven track record in delivering complex projects, and strong stakeholder management, with SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience with a Tier 1 main contractor on large commercial projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple subcontract packages.
• Strong programme management, sequencing and delivery controls.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the project
• Manage Site Managers, package managers, subcontractors and the wider site team
• Drive the construction programme and ensure key milestones are achieved
• Manage and coordinate multiple subcontract packages
• Chair progress and subcontractor meetings
• Work closely with commercial, design and technical teams
• Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve programme or delivery issues
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality across the project
• Liaise directly with the client, consultants and other key stakeholders
• Manage project reporting and provide progress updates to senior management
• Oversee inspections, snagging, commissioning and handover as required
• Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential project risks

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor for the delivery of a large-scale commercial construction project in Maidenhead.

*To be considered for this position you mist be within a 1 hour commute of Maidenhead.

The successful candidate must have previous Tier 1 main contractor experience and a proven track record of managing major commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for driving the project forward, coordinating the site team and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Experience

• Previous Project Manager experience with a recognised Tier 1 Main Contractor
• Strong track record delivering large-scale commercial construction projects
• Experience managing complex projects and multiple subcontract packages
• Excellent understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and project delivery
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
• Commercially aware with the ability to understand the cost and programme implications of site decisions
• Confident operating within the reporting, quality, H&S and governance procedures expected by a Tier 1 contractor
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid

This requirement would particularly suit a Project Manager accustomed to working within major Tier 1 contracting environments and capable of taking ownership of a substantial commercial construction project
