Job summary

Reed is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Estates & Capital Projects in Tadworth, Surrey. The role focuses on delivering building improvements, refurbishments, and compliance initiatives, overseeing projects from concept to completion to meet time and budget targets.

Reporting to the Head of Estates & Health & Safety, you will coordinate contractors and stakeholders, ensure CDM and health & safety compliance, and line-manage an Associate Project Manager.

Project Manager - Estates & Capital Projects

Tadworth, Surrey 30 Hours per Week £41,999 per annum (£33,599 pro rata)

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a meaningful role where your work will directly support children and young people? We are seeking a proactive and organised Project Manager to lead a variety of estates and capital projects, from building improvements and refurbishments through to policy development and compliance initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Estates & Health & Safety, you will oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in line with health, safety and safeguarding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage capital and small works projects across the estate.
• Define project scope, specifications, budgets and delivery timescales.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project budgets, risks and performance outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations and statutory requirements.
• Manage contractor vetting, inductions and performance.
• Maintain project documentation, risk registers and governance records.
• Line manage and support an Associate Project Manager.

About You

• Previous experience managing construction, refurbishment or estates-related projects.
• Strong budgeting, contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Sound understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams and senior stakeholders.
