Hybrid Solutions Group was founded in 2013 on a simple idea: build a business that works for customers and staff alike. That idea still shapes how we work. We’re thoughtful, accountable and we look after our people.
Hybrid Electrical Solutions is the Group’s electrical and infrastructure contractor. We deliver specialist projects across highways, street lighting, power distribution, EV charging and associated civil engineering, alongside M&E work in commercial, residential, rail and public infrastructure settings. Much of our work happens on live roads, in occupied buildings and around electrical systems, where getting safety right first time really matters.
We’re Kier’s principal M&E partner on Transport for London’s tunnels and pump stations contract, covering ten London road tunnels.
The role
This is a new position, created to grow our projects team. You’ll take full ownership of a portfolio of live projects, lead Project Engineers and site teams, and be the main point of contact for our clients.
It suits someone who is confident managing budgets and programmes, comfortable leading site teams and subcontractors, and clear and proactive with clients.
Where this role can take you
- A growing projects team. You’ll join a team that is building its structure to scale, so there’s real scope to shape how we deliver and to grow with the business.
- Your own portfolio. Within your first 90 days, you’ll take on at least three live projects of your own.
- Major infrastructure work. A growing business with a strong pipeline of rail and infrastructure work.
- Funded competencies. Sentinel PTS or LUL competencies are a bonus; if you don’t hold them, we’ll fund them.
What you’ll do
- Deliver projects across their full lifecycle, from handover to close-out, on time, on budget and to specification.
- Produce and maintain programmes, and report progress against them.
- Control project finances: cost tracking, forecasting, valuations, variations and applications for payment.
- Act as the main client contact, giving regular, proactive progress updates.
- Manage and develop Project Engineers and site teams, and coordinate subcontractors.
- Own project health and safety: RAMS review, permits and possessions, site inspections, and compliance with client and Hybrid ES SHEQ standards.
- Plan resources, materials and plant with our stores and procurement teams.
- Manage risks, issues and change, with documented actions closed out promptly.
- Ensure technical quality, testing and commissioning, and complete O&M and handover documentation.
- Contribute to the monthly project forecast and pipeline reporting.
About you
- Proven experience delivering M&E, electrical or security systems projects in live infrastructure environments such as rail, tunnels or highways.
- A recognised project management qualification: APM PMQ/PFQ or PRINCE2 Foundation.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- CSCS or ECS Manager card.
- Confidence managing budgets and programmes.
- Comfortable leading site teams and subcontractors.
- Clear and proactive communication with clients.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Sentinel PTS or LUL competencies (we’ll fund them if you don’t hold them).

- Car allowance and company pension
- Funded training and competencies, including SMSTS refresher and rail access (Sentinel PTS / LUL)
- Laptop and PPE provided
- Ownership of your own projects, in a growing business with a strong pipeline of rail and infrastructure work
