Job summary

PiLON, part of the United Infrastructure Group, is hiring a Project Manager to lead social housing disrepair works. You will report to the Operations Manager and oversee safe, compliant project delivery, client relationships, programme tracking, and financial performance to ensure resident satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring proven social housing project management, disrepair experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven project management experience in social housing.
  • Experience managing disrepair projects.
  • Knowledge of disrepair legislation, processes and contracts.
  • Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors.
  • Excellent client, stakeholder and resident management.
  • Strong budget management and commercial awareness.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of social housing disrepair projects.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Lead Site Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and residents.
  • Monitor costs, risks, and KPIs; report on progress.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance and company procedures.
  • Engage residents and resolve escalated issues.
  • Share project updates and maintain accurate records.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Project Manager - Disrepair (Social Housing)
About PiLON

At PiLON, we're a trusted contractor within the social housing sector, delivering high-quality planned maintenance, refurbishment, and property improvement projects.

As part of the United Infrastructure Group, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of disrepair projects across our growing portfolio.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the safe, compliant, and profitable delivery of social housing disrepair works. You will manage operational teams, client relationships, programme delivery, and financial performance while ensuring an excellent service for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of social housing disrepair projects.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead and support Site Managers, Supervisors, operatives, and subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance, costs, risks, and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Manage resident engagement and support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Produce accurate project reporting and maintain project records.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and continuous improvement across all projects.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven Project Management experience within the Social Housing sector
  • Previous experience managing Disrepair projects (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of disrepair legislation, processes, and contractual requirements
  • Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors
  • Excellent client, stakeholder, and resident management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
  • SMSTS, CSCS and Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
