Job summary

Ipsum Power is seeking a Project Manager in Carnforth to lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring delivery within safety, quality and financial targets. The role requires strong leadership and contract management across the Power Division.

You will oversee project delivery, plan strategically, and maintain excellent customer service levels on all projects. The position is full-time, with Monday–Friday hours and permanent employment in the Power Transmission sector.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Project Management position within Power Distribution Transmission.
• Overhead Lines experience is essential.
• City & Guilds Electrical Qualification is required.
• Knowledge of assessing and certifying subcontractor applications for payments.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment with performance management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of site staff, subcontractors, vehicles and equipment.
• Monitor performance with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment.
• Ensure incidents are reported, investigated and remediated.
• Survey and quote projects based on contracts and schedules of rates.
• Ensure resources are adequate for workload and timely delivery.
• Ensure policies and improvement action plans are implemented and audited.

About the role…

Project Manager is responsible for providing strong leadership, contract management, project delivery, and strategic planning. Customer driven within the Power Division, ensuring safety, financial and operational targets are met or exceeded, maintaining exceptional customer service levels across all the projects they are responsible for.

As a Project Manager you will have…?

• Day to day management of site staff, sub-contractors, vehicles, equipment, and issues arising from sites
• Actively monitor performance of all site staff including subcontractors with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment
• Ensure all incidents are reported and investigated, with remedies implemented.
• Monitor performance and safety requirements regularly and implement improvements.
• Survey and quote individual projects based on a contract schedule of rates
• Ensure resources are adequate for the workload and that projects are delivered in an economic and timely manner.
• Ensure Ipsum Power policies and improvement action plans are effectively implemented, monitored, and audited.
• Operate in full compliance with Ipsum Power and OHL policies, procedures, and instructions.

About You
