Project Manager – £25m Cut and Carve Refurbishment

Cardiff

Premises Recruitment is working with a privately owned development business to appoint a Project Manager for a substantial refurbishment in central Cardiff. This is a site based role that would suit an experienced manager who likes to be 'out on site'.

The Company

The client is a privately owned real estate investment, development and asset management business with a track record of bringing existing buildings back into use as mixed use schemes. Their work covers residential, hotel and commercial space.

The Opportunity

They are starting a new phase of work with a programme of around 18 months. The scope is a cut and carve and fit out of an existing landmark building. This phase of the project is valued at around £25m and will be procured through trade packages.

The Role

• Managing the delivery of the cut and carve and fit out works on a central Cardiff site
• Managing the trade packages through appointment and into delivery on site
• Maintaining a hands on presence on site, running the day to day programme and the subcontractors and trades.

The Individual

• Contractor side experience, ideally as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager
• Experience with tier 2 or tier 3 main contractors
• A practical, hands on approach, comfortable leading site teams and subcontractors day to day

Salary & Package

Basic salary of £80,000 - £100,000 plus, depending on experience. Full time or 3 to 4 days a week pro rata considered.
