Linear Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead power infrastructure projects across the UK. You will manage planning, mobilisation and handover, ensuring safety, budget and quality targets are met while coordinating diverse site teams and stakeholders.

The role requires strong planning, cost control and HSQE knowledge, with willingness to travel to site locations across the UK. Prior HV or National Grid project exposure is advantageous.

• Experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or related construction sectors.
• End-to-end delivery from inception to completion.
• Strong planning, cost control, health & safety, and quality management.
• Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/work away from home.
• SMSTS and construction/PM qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience on National Grid or HV projects desirable.

Project Manager – Power Infrastructure

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing infrastructure business, delivering projects across the Power sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a background in civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure who enjoys managing projects from initial planning through to completion.

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects across a range of power infrastructure sites, including substations and associated civil engineering works. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Flexibility to travel and work away from home across the UK is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from initial planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or a related construction sector.
• Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
• Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, health and safety, and quality management.
• Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work away from home as project requirements dictate.
• Relevant industry qualifications, such as SMSTS, alongside a recognised project management or construction qualification, would be advantageous.
• Previous experience on National Grid or other high-voltage utility projects would be desirable. Relevant competencies or authorisations, such as National Grid Person (Substations), BESC/AME, or Competent/Authorised Person status, would be an advantage.
