Edge Tech is seeking a Project Manager to drive AI and automation initiatives within a healthcare transformation. This hybrid Bolton role involves delivering end-to-end projects across multiple sites, coordinating cross-functional teams, and liaising with governance and PMO.
A 12-month fixed-term contract with potential to go permanent is offered. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of PM experience, Prince2/Agile certification, and strong stakeholder management.
Location: Bolton, UK (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Potential to Go Permanent)
Visa Sponsorship: Not Available (UK Right to Work Required)
My client is the UK's largest provider of NHS cataract surgery, who are in the middle of one of the most exciting digital transformations in UK healthcare.
They're rolling out AI-powered diagnostics, automated patient bookings, AI-driven call handling, and RPA for referrals processing across 70+ sites nationally.
Our client is expanding their Business Improvement team and hiring a Project Manager to help implement these AI and automation initiatives. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a possibility of going permanent - they have a track record of converting FTCs to permanent roles.
Even if it doesn't convert, a year of AI and automation project experience will make you significantly more employable in this rapidly growing space.
You’ll be the one actually delivering the transformation initiatives - managing projects from initiation through to closure, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects land successfully.
You’ll work alongside the Change Manager, who handles governance and PMO oversight, while you focus on implementation and delivery.
They want someone who's used to seeing projects through end-to-end – not just components of larger programmes. They need a solid IT Project Manager who can take ownership and deliver.
This is a chance to join a business tackling the right problem at the right moment. Most healthcare transformation is still in the early stages - our client is already leading the way with AI and automation, and they're looking to accelerate.
You’ll work with a team that's genuinely passionate about making a difference – improving patient outcomes, cutting NHS waiting times, and using technology to do things that actually matter. They're not just talking about transformation; they're delivering it.
If you're passionate about AI, automation, and digital transformation in healthcare, and you're ready to own projects from end to end, I'd love to hear from you.
