Job summary

Dräger UK is seeking a Project Manager to lead R&D projects within the Safety Division. You will manage cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for planning, forecasting and reporting to Project Control Boards, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and clear, concise communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or significate industry experience delivering technical/engineering projects.
• Desirable professional qualification in Project Management.
• Experience delivering cross-functional and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience budgeting, tracking and forecasting of projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and document projects per IMS and Draeger processes.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams within a regulated industry, often cross functional.
• Plan and control project budgets and resources, coordinating with Controlling for forecasting.
• Effectively manage project risks and opportunities, with mitigation actions.
• Maintain outstanding stakeholder engagement through clear communication.
• Report to Project Control Boards, Sponsors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure effective close-out of projects and handover into lifecycle.

About The Role

As a Project Manager, you will lead and manage projects within the R&D department of Draeger’s Safety Division. Your contribution to the success of the business will be through:

• Delivering and documenting a range of projects in accordance with Draeger processes
• Leading and managing multi-disciplinary project teams, within a highly regulated industry, often cross functional and cross site
• The responsibility and accountability for the planning and control of project budgets and resources, working closely with Controlling to provide transparency and accurate forecasting
• Effectively managing and controlling project risks and opportunities, leading the team to identify, allocate and mitigate with effective measures to reduce project risk
• Maintaining outstanding stakeholder engagement through excellent communication
• Clear and concise reporting to Project Control Boards, Sponsors and other Stakeholders
• Ensuring the effective close-out of projects and handover into lifecycle

Working within a small PMO team which consists of Project Managers, Lifecycle Managers and Systems Engineers.

Role Requirements

• Degree in an Engineering discipline or significate industry experience of delivering technical/engineering projects
• Relevant professional qualification in Project Management (desirable, although not essential)

Related Experience

• Relevant project management experience in the delivery of cross functional and multi-disciplinary projects
• Experience in the project management of R&D projects and project lifecycles
• Experience in accountability for project budgeting, tracking & reporting as well as forecasting of projects
