Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Project Lead/Manager to join our Fast Jet Integrated Project Team, based in Lincoln with an additional location in Luton. The role offers hybrid working with some home-based days and occasional travel.

You will work with seasoned project managers, define WBS/OBS, manage budgets and schedules, and support contract risk analysis and IP management. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex projects in aerospace/defence domains.
• Ability to analyse contract requirements and assess feasibility.
• Strong planning skills: WBS, OBS, and cost forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Define the WBS structure, OBS and SoW to engage functions.
• Define forecasting configurations for costed items.
• Define and manage High Level schedule and budget based on contract milestones.
• Support the IP manager in defining strategy for IP assets and related rebates.

We are actively recruiting for a Project Lead/Manager who will work within our Fast Jet Integrated Project Team in Lincoln.

What You'll Bring

Initiatives typically managed by Project Lead/Manager are:

• Support Risk Managers to identify contract risks
• Analyze clients requirements during the bidding phase
• Evaluate the contract requirements to evaluate technical and economical feasibility
• Support the IP manager in evaluating and defining the strategy for the management of the IP assets generated during the projects, including their eligibility for Tax rebate program (i.e. Patent Box)
• Define the High Level schedule based on contractual milestone
• Define the High Level budget based on contractual requirements
• Manage the advance provision activities to start purchasing processes in advance of the contract effective date (if needed)
• Identify the initiative cluster, based on Leonardo internal procedure
• Request to create the Project/Program WBS
• Organize the first project meeting to start the activities
• Define the WBS structure, OBS and identification of the SoW to engage functions
• Define the forecasting configuration for items without contract associated
• Manage the advance provision activities to start purchasing processes in advance of the contract effective date
• Define the revenues plan and perform the creation into the company tool
• Support the analysis of contractual requirements
• Define the product configuration
• Support the definition of the Integrated Project Schedule
• Support the definition of the time-phased (cost planning) resources/material allocation and associated costs
