Lead Careers Ltd is seeking a Project Landscape Architect to join a Newcastle-based studio. You will lead landscape projects from concept to construction, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure design intent is delivered on time.

The role requires a degree in Landscape Architecture, UK consultancy experience, and a strong command of AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite. Flexible working and professional development are offered in an employee-owned practice.

Qualifications

• A degree in Landscape Architecture is required.
• Experience in a UK landscape architecture consultancy is preferred.
• Ability to deliver projects with minimal supervision and manage workloads.
• Proficient in detailed design and construction packages; strong visuals and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop landscape designs from concept to detailed packages.
• Coordinate day-to-day project delivery and schedule management.
• Prepare masterplans, landscape plans and construction details.
• Produce drawings, specifications and design information.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and consultants.
• Keep projects on track with programmes and deadlines.
• Attend design meetings and site visits through the project lifecycle.

Role – Project Landscape Architect

Location – Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary – £36 - £42K DOE

Are you looking for a role where you can take the lead on projects, have more input into the design process and see your ideas become a reality?

Lead Careers are working with a well-established employee-owned studio in Newcastle that is looking for a Project Landscape Architect to join its busy design team. With a varied portfolio covering public realm, residential developments, education, healthcare and regeneration schemes, the practice offers the opportunity to work on some interesting projects of different sizes.

This position would suit a Landscape Architect who has built up a good level of experience and is ready to take greater responsibility for delivering projects. The team needs someone who can get up to speed quickly, manage their own workload and confidently see projects through from the initial design stages to completion.

PROJECT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing landscape designs from initial concepts through to detailed technical packages
• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of projects
• Preparing masterplans, hard and soft landscape plans and construction details
• Producing drawings, specifications and supporting design information
• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants
• Keeping projects on track with agreed programmes and deadlines
• Attending design meetings and site visits throughout the project lifecycle

PROJECT LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in Landscape Architecture
• Experience working in a UK landscape architecture consultancy, ideally with responsibility for delivering projects
• A good balance of creative design ability and technical knowledge
• Experience preparing detailed design and construction packages
• The confidence to manage projects with minimal supervision
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
• Working towards chartership
