Job summary

NG Bailey Group is seeking mechanically/electrically biased Project Engineers or Senior Project Engineers to join the team across the Yorkshire region, primarily Sheffield, Doncaster or Chesterfield. You will lead delivery, ensure work meets specifications, and drive safety, profitability and customer satisfaction on large building services projects.

This permanent role requires the ability to obtain security clearance and offers a competitive salary with car/car allowance and flexible benefits.

• Experience on high value mechanical and electrical building service projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is visible and prioritised across the project.
• Lead and contribute to pre-commencement activities for efficiency and profitability.
• Review the project scope to meet customer requirements.
• Identify project risks and opportunities; mitigate or enhance as needed.
• Ensure engineering solutions meet financial and commercial objectives.
• Provide accurate, timely site progress information to stakeholders.
• Manage sub-contract resources if applicable.
• Provide leadership to project team and maximise performance.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Close out projects in line with customer requirements to maximise profitability.

Summary

We have some exciting new opportunities for mechanically/electrically biased Project Engineers or Senior Project Engineers, to join our team, working on projects across the Yorkshire region. This role will primarily cover projects across Sheffield, Doncaster or Chesterfield.

In this role you will play a key part in leading the delivery of this project, being responsible for ensuring that all activities within your area of control are engineered to specification, and delivered safely, profitably and to customer satisfaction.

This is a permanent staff role with NG Bailey, and the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain security clearance once in post.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Ensuring that our safety first and foremost message is visible and alive through all activities on the project
• Participate in pre-commencement activities to maximise opportunities, efficiency and profitability
• Review the project scope of works to ensure precise provision of the customer’s requirements
• Lead/contribute to the identification of project risks and opportunities, and take responsibility to mitigate or enhance those in your control
• Ensure engineering solutions are procured and delivered to financial and commercial objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely information on site progress to the relevant stakeholders
• Manage any sub-contract resource if applicable.
• Provide leadership to project team members within your area of control, maximising performance and ensuring objectives are met.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships
• Ensure project is closed out in accordance with customer requirements, maximising project profitability

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience of mechanical/electrical installations, in a construction environment, and previous experience in a similar role.
